OSRAM SYLVANIA seeks a Global Account Manager, Automotive Lighting in Northville, MI. Under very limited supervision, responsible for increasing OSRAM’s market share and profitability through developing, implementing and monitoring strategies and action steps to achieve maximum global account penetration. Responsible for developing, implementing and managing regional strategies to focus on growing targeted accounts. Optimizes existing global accounts and develops appropriate relationships. Identifies, qualifies and develops strategies to secure large opportunities at global accounts and strategic alliance partners. Serves as point person/coordinator for contract development and negotiations. Establishes and develops relationships with appropriate purchasing, engineering and management contacts at global customer accounts with a focus on product applications and sales. Provides appropriate profiles and information of global accounts to local Key Account Managers (KAM) and support KAM to close business in the sub region. Achieves sales targets for assigned accounts, to include frequent (at least quarterly) reviews to ensure that actual sales results mirror product mix and volumes agreed to during global negotiations. This will include issuing a formal report each quarter reporting on the overall account status. Pro-actively identifies account issues that may become problematic and works with appropriate internal and external resources to resolve issues quickly. Elevates critical issues, and recommended solutions, to Senior Management on a timely basis. Maintains constant awareness of competitive threats that may affect account sales and profitability and takes appropriate actions to neutralize competitive threats.
Requirements: Bachelor of Science degree, or equivalent, in Electrical Engineering or related field plus five (5) years of progressive experience in the job offered, or as a Global Sales Manager, or related. Applicants must also possess each of the following, which may be gained concurrently:
