A. TITLE: ACE PBI Global Actuarial Analyst

B. KEY OBJECTIVE:

Support the profitable growth of ACE’s PBI (BI/SME, Auto, SPL and Personal Lines) business in global markets by contributions made using actuarial tools.

C. MAJOR DUTIES RESPONSIBILITIES:

- Utilizing actuarial tools and procedures support the profitable growth of ACE’s PBI business.
- Evaluate annual account pricing submissions utilizing PBI pricing standards.
- Maintain global line of business profitability measures.
- Under direction, create global pricing schemes.
- Support the creation of global and local tools for measuring business metrics, and exercise these measures as needed.
- Participate in the implementation/creation of a new rating system by coordinating system input, testing and implementation timelines.

D. SCOPE INFORMATION:

This is a global actuarial role specific to the ACE PBI product suite. It reports directly to the Global Chief Personal and Business Insurance Actuary. Additionally, the role provides support to Global Actuarial Director, Regional Portfolio Analysts and Country Portfolio Analysts.

E. MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS:

- 3 years of Property and Casualty actuarial pricing experience.
- Strong communication skills, work independently, multi-task and able to work across functional departments.
- As this is an international work environment, it requires a flexible work schedule to accommodate meetings across the different time zones.
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office suite of products, SAS or similar programming language and other analytical tools.
- Basic ratemaking skills.
- Actively pursuing Actuarial designation (3-5 CAS exams passed preferred).
- Ability to execute limited international travel.

F. DESIRED QUALIFICATIONS:

- Exposure to GLM analysis.
- Introduction of New Products. Brio, Commercial (small business) Pricing.
- Spanish or Portuguese language skills.
