Global Assistant Controller Job in Los Angeles 90094, California US
What you’ll do
As a Global - Assistant Controller, you will direct and supervise the worldwide controllership and financial accounting reporting for the Consolidated Company and the accounting for North America, Australia, Corporate and Global Shared Services business units/groups. This key and growth oriented role will lead in driving consistent and best accounting and financial practices on a global basis.
How you’ll do it
- Supervise the close and preparation and analysis of monthly financial results ensuring adherence to US GAAP; drive manage an effective close review process
- Specifically responsible for the worldwide consolidation, preparation of financial statements including disclosures
- Manage the accounting teams supporting general ledger, payables, accruals reserves, receivables, fixed assets, royalty accounting, revenue accounting, labor benefits and cash application
- Responsible for maintaining the internal controls including adequate procedures, segregation of duties, review and timely reconciliations
- Responsible for managing coordinating the worldwide annual audit of the company with specific responsibility to support the fieldwork for the accounting services provided
- Responsible for completion of royalty audits.
- Responsible for completion and review of monthly balance sheet reconciliations, ensuring accounts are accurately stated and have adequate support

- Drive worldwide periodic balance sheet reviews other control processes
- Assist with the company’s initial assessment plans to implement a SOX control environment
- Focus on assisting in asset management to drive cash flow, including timely collection of receivables, managing payables to favorable terms and inventory levels
- Support FPA teams in the annual budgeting process
What you’ll need
- Four year college degree in preferably in Business Administration/ Accounting
- A minimum of 14-15 plus years of experience in similar or related position
- A minimum of 7-8 years of manager / supervisory experience.
- Proficient in the use of large scale, fully integrated business software packages – Oracle Hyperion a plus
- Public private mix of experience preferred
- SEC experience a strong positive
- CPA

- Public company SOX experience is a positive
