Overview
This position is in the Sydney GBS GFFX Operations team. It is an operational role that deals with the management settlement of Money Market trades.
Key Responsibilities
- Settlements - Managing the flow settlement of MM related trades into the various market settlement systems for example, EXIGO, RITS, ESAS/ NZClear and Wallstreet.
- Reconciliations - Payment and Trade reconciliation management and overview. Knowledge of Smartstream reconciliation system is a must.
- Queries - Various queries in relation to settlements and confirmations must also be undertaken.
Requirements
To be successful in this role you will have:
- Good working knowledge of Money Market Products and its associated market conventions.
- A strong knowledge of SWIFT and vendor supported payment systems.
- Awareness of Operational risk and the various controls required to settle all underlying transactions.
- Ability to learn and adapt quickly to market changes.
- Flexibility to interchange within a team and take on new challenges and responsibilities.
- Good communication skills, with the ability to resolve issues independently and quickly.
- Ability to work as a part of cohesive team whilst interacting with our global counterparts on a regular basis.
- Working knowledge of reconciliations and its associated processes.
- Minimum of 5-7 years experience within Operations, preferably in the Money Market area is desirable.
