For the Central Purchasing team of the Danone Baby Nutrition Division in Danone Place Schiphol (WTC Amsterdam Airport), we are looking for the Global Buyer Packaging who will manage the PLASTICS category/commodity and to be the Buyer in the cross-functional Innovation Projects.

Your Mission in this role:
To create the Injected Plastics category for Danone Baby Nutrition. To define and implement sourcing strategies in the category that supports the Business and Team objectives and to become the Projects Buyer for Innovation projects.
Your Key Accountabilities:
1. As project Buyer for Innovation projects:
- SPOC between the project team and the category buyers
- Understand strategies of the categories and feed them with innovation, taking into account the project team's needs
- Build and implement the Packaging solution : from quotations to contract and launch
2. As category Buyer for Moulding Plastics:
- Develop and implement Category Sourcing Strategy
- Accountable for the Purchasing Budget, manage risks and opportunities to the budget and claims
- Manage Security of Supply: dual sourcing, contingency planning, quality, service level, supplier capacity analysis (moulds)
- Initiate, lead and implement Productivity CO2 reduction Projects (Booster)
- Innovation: capture innovation from suppliers, initiate and contribute to innovation projects
- Manage Supplier Selection and Contracting – Supplier relationship Management
- Actively manage Working Capital in category through payment terms, inventories, lead times, MOQ
Key Short- and Midterm Objectives:
- Understand innovation projects and categories impacted
- SSD leader on Innovation projects
- Identify DBN need on Plastics
- Build well-structured and managed category (Cost, Cash, Service, Quality)
- Implement Sourcing Strategies globally
Your Skills and Experience include:
- You are able to convince and influence local and central stakeholders
- You are highly structured and organized
- You have very strong analytical skills with experience in working in a pragmatic and/or production environment
- You have experience working in an International Matrix Organization
- Expertise and knowledge in the Plastics commodity is a must for a minimum of 1 year. Knowledge in an international context is a plus.
- Buyer experience in Multinational Food manufacturing or FMCG or Pharma companies.
- You have managed an international network of stakeholders, including local plant/buyer and local suppliers in different countries
