Global Collections Reporting Analyst recruitment

You will be a member of the Global Reporting and Analytics Team under Global Collections Reporting, focused on providing global data analysis and commentary to support global businesses with reporting and dashboards.  An appreciation of financial subjects such as Collections, Invoicing, Cash Management and Credit Notes etc. would be advantageous.

Working Capital Solutions (WCS) leverages the financial solutions and industry expertise of GE Capital to offer Accounts Receivable management on a global basis to GE and its affiliates. We offer a full range of Accounts Receivable management, including financing and servicing solutions through our world class people, processes and technologies. With over $50B receivables purchased annually and $10B of assets managed in 2011, Working Capital Solutions provides credit and collections services through five Centres of Excellence and over 15 locations globally.

Role Summary/Purpose

- Building, maintaining and running the unapplied credit note reporting for the collections function.
- Working with collections leaders on improving the reporting for credit note reporting in line with changing credit note application processes.
- Providing backup to collections specific operational reporting such as the collections tool.
- Maintain and provide backup on all WCS and GE Capital internal global reporting and dashboards.
- Provide insight and commentary to reports and dashboards to highlight trends and issues to functional leader s within the business.
- Liaise with Data Warehouse (DWH) Lead to ensure all additions and changes to the DWH Collections universe are implemented accurately to agreed timelines.
- Execution and development of regular and ad-hoc reporting and analysis.
- Drive simplification and standardization of reporting processes.
- Design and build new reporting that fulfils business requirements
- Ensure that standard operating procedures for all assigned reports are complete, accurate and up-to-date.
- Perform other duties and special projects as assigned.
- Manage ad-hoc requirements to support Client/WCS/Analyst Team members as required.

Qualifications/Requirements

As a Global Collections Reporting Analyst your skills and qualifications will ideally include:

- Background in a financial or Business intelligence function.
- Proven analytical, problem solving and process oriented skills with a clear sense of urgency and initiative.
- Proven ability to explain complex financial concepts to non-financial leaders.
- Intense attention to details, while maintaining an accurate, results-oriented mentality.
- An ability to work under pressure in a fast paced environment.
- Experience in successfully communicating across functions at all levels including senior executives both verbally and in writing.
- Proven ability to establish and maintain relationships with co-workers and build a healthy team atmosphere.
- Excel skills, including VLOOKUP, MATCH, logical functions and pivot tables.
- Proven ability to leverage support from WCS (Business) and Client’s relevant functions.

Desired Characteristics

- Degree in Economics, Business Studies, Finance, Mathematics, Statistics or similar analytical field by experience.
- Experience using MS Access, PowerPoint and Word.
- Experience in both a business intelligence/reporting and financial function.
- Flexible to occasional travel.
- Previous experience of working with people from different countries, cultures and time zones.
- Experience in creating queries within Business Objects or similar BI tool such as Oracle OBIEE or Crystal Reports.
