Global Commodities Risk Analyst recruitment
Utilising your strong knowledge in commodities market risk (associated with wholesale power, gas, coal CO2), you will assist in the development and maintenance of the risk framework and report directly to the Head of Risk Control.
Key Accountabilities:
• Participate in various Global Risk Committes - producing high quality presentations, minutes and reports
• Support the Head of Risk Control in overseeing risk management practices
• Improve management reporting produced by the Risk Control team
• Assist in setting the calculation method for risk metrics, validate forward curves.
• Work with IT to develop the global risk management reporting system
• Assist in the development and maintenance of the regional and global policies and limits
Essential experience:
• working in a commodity trading environment associated with wholesale power, gas, coal and CO2
• Capable of dealing with senior stakeholders on a global scale (CFO, CEO, Regional MDs)
• Highly motivated and results orientated.
• Strong commercial accumen
• VaR and other risk metrics
• development and roll-out of reports suitable for senior management
