Finance OT: PA Lead Analyst (Activity Based Costing)
The Corporate ABC project lead role focuses on driving data collection to build the Activity Based Costing (ABC) models for Citi businesses while supporting the broader ABC program at Citi. The successful candidate will be responsible for developing and maintaining a consistent methodology and approach for the construction of the activity based costing model. The role will also require active management of the data collection effort and targeted focus on the treatment of 'one-offs' or 'exceptions' that arise during the course of data collection. The ideal candidate will be versatile, possessing a general understanding of the Citi businesses and their specific reporting needs, basic fundamentals of technology platform such as PeopleSoft Activity Based Management (ABM) software and a detailed understanding of activity based costing principles and methodologies. Specific responsibilities include, but are not limited to:
ABC Data Collection:
- Managing data collection process (planning, coordinating, tracking, etc.) based on agreed upon scope
- Conducting working sessions with business and functional representatives to gather and validate relevant input
- Adapting activity based costing methodology for the product area that supports the analytics needs of business, operations and IT groups
- Ensuring common application of the methodology across multiple data collection and modeling exercises
- Building and ensuring alignment in taxonomy between other ABC efforts within the bank (e.g., operations-driven exercises)
- Managing exceptions with a clear view of the downstream impacts to reporting and analytical abilities
- Developing requirements for business dashboard views
- Acting as the 'translator' between modeling teams and business input
- Proactively identifying opportunities to leverage ABC-produced data in business decision making or extensions of cost analyses
- Developing communications around future enhancements and potential uses of ABC data- Acting as the 'translator' between modeling teams and business input

Program Support:
- Provide input into the definition of standards and guidelines for ABC studies in Citi
- Assist in the development of the corporate ABC execution playbook
- Coordinate development of technology architecture/strategy for ABC tool
- Manage model development process with modeling teams in business and technology
Required Skills:
- A proven track record with at least 5 plus years of relevant work experience; Financial Services industry experience preferred
- Understanding of costing principles, methodologies, practices and applications; knowledge of Activity Based Costing will be an advantage
- Working knowledge of financial costing tools, such as PeopleSoft ABM, SAS ABM or equivalent tools
- Working knowledge of business intelligence reporting tools, such as Cognos reporting
- Working knowledge of financial and business systems and allocation processes in a large organization; knowledge of Citi's financial systems and processes will be a plus
- Exceptional analytical skills, attention to detail and past experience in presenting analyses in a concise and logical manner to executives
- Extensive business analysis experience, including knowledge of managerial accounting principles
- Ability to handle multiple tasks and changing priorities, deliver on numerous deliverables simultaneously
- Proficiency in MS Excel, MS PowerPoint, MS Access
- Strong written and verbal communication skills
- Superior organizational abilities
- Strong team player
Minimum Educational Requirements:
Bachelor's degree in Finance, Business Administration, Mathematics, Economics or a related field of study.
