Global Data Center Resiliency Manager

This position will test your ability to apply conventional industry requirements to the most innovative and exciting computing environment in the world. We need a dynamic thinker who can help technical teams quantify and comply with DC resiliancy decisions while functioning as an enabler of overall operational excellence. As a team leader, you will drive the continuous assessment of physical, life safety technical, and environmental hazards across our global datacenter footprint. You will be responsible for assessing, and reporting our data center risk posture to senior leadership. You will interface with numerous teams across Amazon, including, Compliance, Tax, HR, Data Center Engineering, Network Engineering, Physical Security, Legal, and Finance. You will also develop metrics and communicate performance to technical teams and executives. This position has the potential to take on as much responsibility as you can handle. The right person will demonstrate proven program management experience to deliver multiple high priority projects at the same time. You have the ability to synthesize large volumes of diverse data to identify trends and prioritize remediation efforts. You have the enthusiasm to oversee a global program that involves some travel to locations across the world. You understand risk management and disaster recovery concepts and can speak intelligently about our risk appetite. Responsibilities: Perform site assessments and present risk-based recommendations for site selection Contribute risk based analysis to Amazon?s new Data Center Site Selection program Participate in developing AWS?s overall compliance framework and maintain alignment between site selection criteria, continuous assessment criteria and evolving compliance requirements. Serve and the primary contact to coordinate all global data center compliance activities Manage and drive the continuous risk and compliance assessment of AWS Data Centers Understand and translate compliance requirements into data center assessment methodologies. Report Data Center Specific Compliance metrics to technical and executive audiences.
