*Global Director of Financial Business Processes and IT Audit Job in Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania Us
The Financial Business Process (FBP) and IT Audit function's primary purpose is to evaluate risks in the Financial and Business Process and Information Technology Areas within Alcoa and ensure that operating locations and resource groups are taking the appropriate measures to address those risks and ensure compliance with SOX requirements.
Reporting into the Vice President - Audit, the Global Director of Financial Business Processes and IT Audit will be primarily responsible for the Finance/Business Processes Internal Audit Leadership globally. The incumbent will be responsible to lead and manage the day-to-day operations of the Internal Audit Team including the wide array of special audits employed in the regions. This position oversees the activities of the FBP IT Audit Group Globally including evaluation of risk and development of the audit plan, ensuring resources are in place or secured to execute the plan, and oversight of the regional FBP and IT managers. In addition, this role ensures staff are appropriately developed and provides oversight of the audit work and the quality of reporting. The position will require you to travel domestically and internationally.
Additional Responsibilities
- Globally coordinates the actions of the Regional Audit Managers who act as the Internal Audit Lead Team representatives for their respective regions for all the FBP discipline.
- Globally maintains Business Partner responsibilities with the Business Groups, Units and Resource Groups.
- Ensure the consistent application of audit processes in the regions.
- Coach and develop the Audit Team.
- Liaise with the Business Units on audit scheduling and control issues.
- Evaluate the processes and tools employed by the department for improvement opportunities.
- Keep the Vice President of Audit appraised of activities as well as issues relevant to the control environment of Alcoa.
- This position interfaces directly and cooperates fully with the leadership of the Ethics and Compliance group
- Work closely with the Financial Leaders of the Company including the Controller, Assistant Controller, SOX Manager to review audit results, discuss issues, best practices, and new trends or concerns.
- Responsible for the global audit budget, currently around $17 million.
- Responsible for the coordination of work with PwC (Alcoa's external auditors) to ensure the work of internal audit is leveraged by PwC and fees are minimized.
- Responsible for the annual negotiation of fees for audit and audit related work performed by PwC. Additionally, this position reviews and approves work performed by external audit firms for the Company.
- Responsible for securing special audit resources from the businesses to ensure there are adequate resources to evaluate the EHS aspects of our operating locations.
- When applicable, participate in audits at varying levels of detail.
- Ensure proper tools and training are available for locations within the region.

NOTE: Depending on experience and qualifications this position could be a job grade 22 or 23.
Basic Qualifications
- B.S Degree in Accounting or Finance
- 12 years of experience in Finance/Accounting/Auditing
- 5 years supervisory experience in Audit, Finance or Accouting
Preferred Qualifications
In addition to the "Basic Qualifications".
- Masters Degree or CPA
- Financial, Accounting, or Audit experience within a manufacturing company
- Sarbanes Oxley experience
