Global Director of Wet Process Solutions
ATMI is seeking a Global Director of Wet Process Solutions who will be responsible for leading, directing and coordinating the RD activities related to the development and delivery of new wafer cleaning products for the semiconductor industry. This position will also act as a technical liaison to a strategic partner company, for the development of combinatorial techniques, tools and informatics. The Global Director of Wet Process Solutions will report to the Senior Vice President of GTO (Global Technology Organization) and will be an integral part of the RD leadership team.
- Lead and coordinate the activities of our globally located technology centers (Taiwan, Japan, Korea, and US) for wet process solutions;
- Drive the overall strategy and objectives of the wet process solutions organization as an active member of the GTO leadership team;
- Work closely with account directors, product managers and marketing leaders to drive successful evaluations by ATMI's customers;
- Represent GTO in the cross-functional Business Management Team, reviewing the introduction of new products, planning the allocation of resources, and evaluating progress against goals throughout the year;
- Drive new formulated wafer cleaning products from early concept and feasibility through LVM delivery to customers, handing off robust products to HVM;
- Provide aftermarket support for formulated chemistries to new and existing customers;
- Build, justify, and manage resources, including annual budgets, personnel, equipment and facilities to support new product development and key customer interactions;
- Provide technical expertise in the area of process and/or device integration to define strategy, goals and objectives for the new product development teams;
- Represent ATMI in technical conferences, publications, and customer interactions;
- Coach, mentor and develop individuals and build high performance teams;
- Define goals, perform reviews with all direct reports, including performance based evaluations and career development activities;
- Support the legal team in matters related to intellectual property protection, including IP strategy, ideation, patenting, licensing and litigation, specifically for device integration and combinatorial methods of discovery;
- Travel expected to be 20%- 40% to domestic and foreign destinations;
- Maintain safe working environment.
- Advanced degree (MS or PhD) in Chemistry, Chemical Engineering, or Materials Science with 10+ years management experience;
- 10+ years experience in Semiconductor processing, preferably in the area of device integration with a strong customer first attitude;
- Established proficiency in inspiring and developing high performing teams in cross-functional organizations;
- Proven track record in the development of commercially successful products and process solutions;
- Fundamental understanding of semiconductors, process steps and process integration of integrated circuits;
- Background in wet chemical processes and surface science highly desirable.
