Global Economist recruitment
The Economist will conduct China economic research on such issues as Chinese monetary and fiscal policy, industry and equity market development, healthcare system reform, and labor and demographic changes. The Economist will publish regular reports and frequently communicate with domestic and global clients via telephone, road shows, and conferences.
Candidate Requirements:
- PhD in Economics / Finance, preferably in macro related areas such as monetary policy, public and financial economics. PhD in other areas with relevant experiences are encouraged to apply as well
- Strong quantitative skills with panel and time series data
- Demonstrated track record in investment advisory field
Interested candidates should have a strong academic background with degrees from top universities and experiences at leading investment banks, brokers, asset management firms, government institutions or academic research organizations. Please note that this is not an entry level position.
This position based in Shanghai or New York and will require travel for roadshows.
