Blackfriars is an Emerging Markets equity boutique. We manage mutual funds and segregated accounts for institutional clients. Our capabilities include: Core, Focus, Thematic, Regional and Country portfolios. We have a fundamental, long-only investment approach.
Responsibilities
We are looking for an individual to work in a small team, to focus on selected client mandates and be responsible for stock selection. Our investment approach uses in-house modelling, supported by working with company management and interaction with sell-side and third party research sources. The role will involve:
- Communicating analysis and debating conclusions within the investment team.
- Assisting the team in formulating our investment outlook.
- Collaborating with client service colleagues.
- Promoting new Global Emerging equity products.
Requirements
The successful candidate will be able to demonstrate:
- Experience of investing in Emerging EMEA markets.
- A detail-oriented, energetic, industrious and self-motivated nature.
- Experience of financial forecasting and modelling.
- Experience of working in an asset management environment.
- Strong presentation skills, including exceptional verbal and written communication skills.
- CFA (fully qualified or partially through exam process) - desirable.
- Strong Bloomberg and Excel skills.
- Programming experience would be useful.
