Overview:
This role is located within the Business Aligned Analytics with specific responsibilities for the Global Equity Derivative business within Global Markets Equity. The BAA teams provide insight using financial analysis and meaningful commentary for business performance with areas covered including revenue, risk, capital, balance sheet, RWA, economic capital and costs. This can be at business, desk, trader or book levels and down to individual trades, or clients as appropriate.
In addition, BAA have responsibilities for the design, build-out and continuing development of performance reporting; validation of the financial business case for new business proposals and the provision of business analysis to support Regulatory, Statutory, Tax and Corporate initiatives.
Key Responsibilities:
The key responsibilities of the role are to manage, prioritise and deliver the GED business aligned analytics book of work - this involves liaising with senior management in analytics, FDFM and the business to understand and deliver in a timely fashion versus detailed requirements. The role is also responsible for suggesting and developing new analysis and determining the team's priorities in order to ensure maximum added-value.
As the lead for the GED business aligned analytics team you will report directly to the head of GME Analytics and will be expected to participate in management and leadership of the overall GME Analytics function and furthermore contributing to establishing analytics as a successful and respected function.
As well as GED focused projects, you will at times need to work across all of the GME teams to deliver results and will have the opportunity to participate in or lead cross-GME working-groups.
You will have:
*Strong technical knowledge of Equity Derivatives - the portfolio encompasses the whole spectrum of derivative products from flow through structured and on to corporate transactions
*Detailed knowledge of balance sheet, capital and VaR
*Strong communication skills - this role is the key analytics face off to the Global Finance Director, the Global COO and the Global Head of Trading for GED - this includes the ability to deliver presentations to senior management
*Previous management experience (both direct and virtual)
*Strong analysis problem solving skills with a creative and proactive approach
*Strong networking and relationship skills, with the ability to work through virtual teams and leverage other departments and functions to achieve DB Objectives
*Experience of compiling management reports in a global, complex business environment
*Sophisticated use of Excel Powerpoint
*Accounting qualification, MBA or equivalent with a numerical background
