We require a dedicated Global Mechanical Functional Excellence (FE) Specialist to join our professional team so we will continue to provide an outstanding reputation for innovation, quality, reliability and performance plus the best pre and post sales support the industry has to offer. Responsibilities include: Keeping facilities operational whilst finding and developing new innovative solutions for the future. Direct support and input to new plant and expansion programmers including new technologies such as wind and hybrid. Lead a team that will work globally to implement best practices and standard processes in facilities management and programmes globally whilst providing FE support to all other large facility programmes. This role has high impact on business results (both operational and financial) by providing world class facilities and improvements, creating the right environment for efficient manufacturing and recruitment and retention of people and reports directly to the Global Operations Support Manager:

Health, Safety and Environment:
•Ensure that all appropriate HSE elements/regulations are considered, implemented and specified in new and existing facilities and champion business goals on energy consumption and environmental impact.
•Failsafing of facilities management processes to help prevent accidents and support HSE initiatives globally.
•Ensuring that all new facility programmes are energy efficient and environmentally friendly.
Quality:
•To define specifications for facilities which not only satisfy corporate and legal requirements globally but also compliment our vision for world class manufacturing.
•Ensuring process capability and consistency through design of the facilities thereby supporting new product programmes globally and provide FE for facility managers globally.
•Work with all plants to define the global standards necessary to achieve world class facilities.
Leadership:
•Act as FE leader to local facilities leaders working on new facilities for improved activities globally and provide leadership for gated reviews; be representative on CMI Facilities Council.
•Lead the local plant facility groups on major facility projects and provide leadership in facilities related capital purchases and plant execution – Equipment ordering, installation and commissioning
•Key communicator both internally and externally and with other entities.
Continuous Improvement
•Strive to improve the existing facilities globally and identify and develop new methods to standardise our approach to facilities management globally. Required in organisations where no such processes exist today.
•Input 6S hopper for facilities related projects. Direct feed into the global operations hopper. Lead 6 Sigma projects.

You should ideally have a manufacturing or engineering degree, together with six sigma experience and extensive knowledge of manufacturing processes, HSE, facilities management and solutions. Strong leadership and communication skills are a must, as well as experience of working globally with multiple cultures. You should also be able to demonstrate a desire to progress and succeed, be able to work as part of a team and work both independently and as part of a team.
