Global Fixed Income and Currency Team, Investment Grade Credit Analyst recruitment

Goldman Sachs Asset Management is seeking an investment-grade credit analyst to become a member of the London fixed-Income team. The analyst’s primary responsibility will be to assist in analysing and recommending European/UK corporate bonds for inclusion in fixed-income portfolios.

Responsibilities:

•Compile relevant statistical data from companies’ financial statements and other sources, and build those data into flexible, forward-looking financial models
•Compile relevant statistical industry information
•Conduct relative value analysis
•Articulate the investment merits of corporate issuers and securities from a fixed-income perspective
•Recommend corporate fixed-income securities for purchase and sale
•Understand bond prospectuses, and be able to explain and differentiate creditor-friendly terms from creditor-unfriendly ones

Experience required

•Candidates with a minimum of 2 years of credit and/or equity analysis background is essential

•Accountancy or CFA charterholders/candidates preferred
•The ability to build detailed and flexible financial models in Excel is essential. 
•The ability to identify key investment drivers and to perform valuation analysis is necessary. 
•Strong oral and written communication skills are essential.
