Global Head of Internal Communications
A global FTSE 250 technology company, currently going through an exciting time of change and transformation, is looking for a highly experienced internal communications professional to develop their first global Internal Communications programme.
In this pivotal role as part of the company's global senior management team, you will work closely with the CEO to develop a methodology, strategy and plan to create a culture of communication within the organization. With over 9,000 employees world-wide, you will spent your first few months in the job getting to know the world-wide regional businesses (including in the US, across EMEA and in APAC), to gain an understanding of how the various functions and geographies communicate within themselves and with each other. You will then create a strategy and plan to enhance the level of communication, at both a localized and company-wide level, and work with the senior management team to implement the technologies, communiqués and platforms to establish a sustainable and robust internal communications function. The company has recently completed a merger, so the business has a robust appetite to invest in internal communications.
As the ideal candidate you have a highly developed track record of internal communications, having worked with complex companies on a global scale. Your experience must include working specifically within multi-national, multi-jurisdictional internal communications function, adept at dealing with diverse cultures, geographies and languages. You have a proven ability to develop a comms function from scratch, and are able to operate in both a strategic and hands-on way. You possess outstanding stakeholder management skills, with the ability to influence, negotiate and be credible at the highest levels. You are a pro-active self-starter with a flexible and positive attitude, who works well in a team environment as well as independently. Some travel will be required.
