Global Head of Product recruitment
This position will be accountable for the planning, organizing and controlling of the assigned portfolio of products while ensuring product managers are accountable for developing the product strategy and roadmaps; establishing fee schedules; defining the product value proposition; competitive positioning and on-going enhancements as well as ensuring each product aligns with the various overall segment strategies.
Responsibilities:
- Contribute to the overall vision while driving to establish and define the strategic long-term plans and roadmaps for each product offering
- Execute/oversee key strategic initiatives to drive implementation of each product strategy
- Ensure business cases for new products/product enhancements are: aligned with overall strategy; commercially justified; supported by sound market and competitive analysis; reflective of input from key stakeholders
- Ensure strategic opportunities and threats are proactively identified and drive creative solutions to address them
- As day-to-day issues arise, ensure escalation as needed and prompt resolution - to prevent unproductive "swirl". Ensure that there are robust levels of product/ program management discipline being applied throughout the product and product development process
- Manage all program communication materials and reports to senior management and external client
- Analyze the market, competition and industry landscapes to determine how they impact existing products or opportunities for future products
- Responsible for the product life cycle, including: Profitability; Product Enhancements; Launching of products; Branding; Sales Support
- Actively measure results against goals, including their impact on revenue and profit
- Thoroughly understand the drivers of revenue, expense, and profitability, including how they relate to each other; variable vs. fixed expense
- Actively manage all drivers of product profitability, including identifying and implementing actions to improve profitability
- Assure that all product team employees understand and practice strong PL management in daily activities
- Participate in internal and external conferences and industry forums
- Actively manage talent across product team, including recruiting, coaching and developing staff
- Develop metrics to analyze performance
- Cultivate a cross functional and international mindset that puts the client’s best interests ahead of individual and business agendas
- In collaboration with marketing, develop the product collateral for all internal and external communications ensuring brand consistency and alignment to the vision
- Partner with segment/colleagues to ensure products meet the current and future needs of clients
- Protect and increase product market share
Required Skills and Experience:
- Solid Product Management experience
- Strong strategic planning and problem solving skills
- Demonstrated ability to manage multi-jurisdictional and/or cross enterprise projects and initiatives
- Demonstrated ability to analyze market trends, competitive trends and local details to identify a strategy
- Proven track record of identifying and implementing product changes
- Excellent communicator, manager, and team builder
