My client, one of the leading Investment Banks are currently seeking a Global Head of Risk and Margin Technology for the markets clearing business. This is a brand new role, following a strategic move for the bank as a whole.
A high profile and visible role, the individual will be responsible for overall IT Management for Markets Clearing Risk and Margin. Markets Clearing is a new key initiative for the bank that includes 5 businesses (Equities, Listed Derivatives, FX, Credit and Rates). The Director has overall accountability for ensuring on-time and on-budget delivery of new and enhanced business capabilities.
Required
-15 years of IT Program/Project Management experience within Capital Markets with a deep understanding of Risk Management within Credit, Rates or FX product areas.
-Strong technical background with experience in risk analytics, complex data structures, Relational database, client/server side Java.
-Leadership People Management - Enable, motivate, direct and continually develop a committed and high-performing workforce by setting clear goals and expectations, tracking progress, ensuring feedback and addressing performance problems and issues promptly
-Governance: Establish and run Operating and Steering Committees with responsibility for managing all aspects of risk and delivery
-Budget/Scope: Negotiate/validate, establish and manage the funding and scope required to form the business case that delivers the stated business benefit
-Strategy- Ability to create strategic technology vision for the Risk Management area including target state architecture and roadmaps to achieve the end state including the socialization of the strategy across.
-Strong written and verbal communication skills
