Global Head of Strategy
Global Head of Strategy. This is an extremely high profile opportunity within one of the worlds leading communication companies. We are looking for Global Head of Strategy to help with some very aggressive growth plans. Which are essentially to double and then double again by the year 2016.
The position will:
• Leadership, management and development of the senior strategy team
• Driving the growth of the company across vertical and horizontal platforms:
- geographic expansion
- commercial development and roll-out of new products and services
- joint ventures and acquisitions
• Identification and evaluation of growth initiatives
- preparation of strategic plans to grow revenue and long term profitability
- generating and/or screening new business opportunities
- preparation of business plans with a strong rationale and excellent rate of return
- developing financial forecasts and valuation models for business development opportunities
- developing detailed recommendations and presenting them to management
• Execution of approved initiatives;
- Structuring start-ups and new ventures, undertaking due diligence on acquisitions and deals, negotiating deals/contracts, launch management.
• Managing specific business development projects to optimize the effectiveness and profitability of our existing core business
Essential Requirements:
- Strategic mindset coupled with pragmatism i.e. commercial in the same time
- Financial sector understanding (risks and opportunities, regulation, compliance developments)
- True leader, capable of providing direction and work with very senior teams
- MBA is highly desirable;
- Experience of working at a leading strategy consultancy;
- Some experience of MA;
- Ideally knowledge of Media, on-line information services, fin-tech or publishing.
