Job Summary:
The Global Human Resources Manager guides and manages the overall provision of Human Resources services, policies, and programs for all LanzaTech facilities and employees. The Global Human Resources Manager leads Human Resources practices and objectives that will provide a high performance culture that emphasizes quality, productivity and standards, goal attainment, and the recruitment and ongoing development of a superior workforce.
Position Requirements:
- Bachelor’s or Master’s degree (Psychology or Business Administration), or equivalent relevant experience in Human Resources; certification a plus.
- Ten plus years of progressive leadership experience in Human Resources positions.
- Broad knowledge and experience in labor and employment law, compensation and benefits, organizational planning and development, employee relations, safety, and training and development.
- Demonstrated excellence in oral and written communication.
- Excellent interpersonal and coaching skills.
- Demonstrated ability to lead and develop Human Resources staff members.
- Ability to work at both strategic and tactical levels, within managerial/leadership and non-managerial employee groups.
- Strong leadership skills influencing at senior levels in an organization.
- Experience in the administration of benefits and compensation programs and other Human Resources programs.
Preferred Background:
- Experience managing HR in a multi-country organization.
- Familiarity with global workforce management issues and international employment policies.
Essential Functions:
- Leads the development of global HR department goals and objectives.
- Participates in senior management meetings and provides counsel and guidance on Company HR matters.
- Oversees the implementation of Human Resources programs globally through Human Resource staff and/or consultants.
- Oversees the development and administration of HR programs, procedures, and guidelines to align the workforce with the goals, values and culture of the Company and to ensure compliance with relevant laws and regulations.
- Conducts a continuing study of Human Resources policies, programs, and best practices and keeps management informed of new developments.
- Establishes departmental measurements that support the accomplishment of the Company’s strategic goals.
- Develops annual staffing plan and budget and directs resources to meet global staffing requirements.
- Develops and monitors an annual budget that includes Human Resources services, employee recognition, and administration.
- Leads the development and implementation of a performance management system that includes goal writing, performance feedback and coaching, development plans and performance reviews.
- Oversees the in-house employee training system that addresses company training needs including: needs assessment, new employee on-boarding, management development and the measurement of training impact.
- Assists with the development of and monitors the spending of the corporate training budget.
- Oversees operation and maintenance of Human Resource Information System (HRIS) by evaluating and assigning adequate resources for design, use and upgrade of a global HRIS platform.
- Leads vendor management activities through direct and indirect participation with vendors and service providers.
- Develops and implements the Company wage and salary structure, pay philosophy and policies, and oversees the variable pay systems within the company including bonuses and merit increases.
- Leads competitive market research to establish pay practices that help to recruit and retain superior staff.
- Monitors all pay practices and systems for effectiveness and cost containment.
- Reviews, guides, and approves management recommendations for employment terminations.
- Administers semi-monthly US payroll processing for 20+ employees, personnel changes, disability, and termination.
- Provides guidance to all levels of management and employees regarding conflict resolution, adhering to company policies and procedures, and job requirements.
