Position Requirements:
Fitch Ratings is seeking an Associate Director in the Global Infrastructure Project Finance Group to cover the transportation sector. You will have responsibility for all aspects of credit research, including quantitative and qualitative analysis of financings of infrastructure assets and projects. This position requires the ability to thoroughly review financial and cash flow models developed by debt issuers and financial advisors and all relevant legal documents in order to present a well reasoned credit recommendation to senior members of the group. You will develop and/or maintain models for proper surveillance of rated assets and projects; write research reports and press releases; prepare rating committee presentations and participate actively in rating committee discussions for both global and national scale ratings. Candidates will be considered for either the Chicago or New York office.

Bachelors degree is required (preferably Financial, Business/Economics, Engineering majors). Good sector knowledge of transportation (Airports, Ports, Toll Roads) and/or project finance  is preferred.

Candidates should possess the following:
• 2-4 years of relevant experience
• demonstrable credit skills (gained in a bank credit department, a rating agency, buy side credit department, etc);
• ability to develop and analyze cash flow models and to identify problems/trends;
• ability to meet deadlines and work in a transaction oriented environment;
• solid organizational skills and the ability to effectively summarize complex credit concepts into summary form;
• ability to interact with a number of external parties including investors, bankers and issuers;
• excellent writing skills; and
• thorough familiarity with spreadsheet based models; ability to read and summarize financing documents.
