As a Management Consultant you will be involved in the full life cycle, from assessing issues, proposing solution, designing operating models then delivery. Will have a good understanding of the challenges within Capital Markets Banks specifically related to Regulatory Risk Management and be able to apply these skills within a consulting environment.
Working as Business Analyst / Project Manager you are expected to be able to demonstrate proven experience in working in a delivery and change environment and have an appreciation of the challenges within Risk change projects.
As a Business Analyst / Project Manager you will work across a wide range of consulting engagements within Capital Markets and other areas of the Financial Services industry. Will primarily be working within delivery roles, helping to execute projects Risk Management clients and will be required to bring experience of delivering successfully within complex projects.
- Knowledge of how Investment Banks operate and generate business including the current challenges within Risk Management.
- Credible in working on client change projects with the requisite business analysis skills that can immediately be used on client facing work.
- Have specialist knowledge in one or more of the following regulatory areas: Basel 3, Dodd Frank, MiFID II, EMIR, COREP and Compliance Controls (e.g. Rogue Trading).
Strong Business Analyst and Project Management skills and be credible working at a senior level. This is a client focused role, therefore excellent communication skills are essential as is the ability to work under little supervision.
Be able to discuss multiple Capital Market products and services and the types of risk associated with each of these them. Candidates must be able to understand how risk is measured, managed as well as the specific regulatory nuances specific to different products/asset classes.
Understand how the different types of organisations in the Capital Markets industry interact and function. This must include not just the banks and other financial institutions but also public bodies such as the FSA and BoE.
Understand the relationship between Front, Middle and Back Office Risk Management business processes (e.g. Collateral, Pricing, Exposure Calculation Engines, Stress Testing etc.) as well as the impact on Treasury and Finance.
Solid CV with outstanding academics, numeracy, IT literacy and communication skills. Most importantly the potential to rapidly add value in this extremely switched on environment. Candidates could be from either leading consulting firms or Investment Banking change functions
