The Global Learning Organizational Development Manager develops and implements all shipboard and shoreside training and organization development initiatives and programs for the assigned Brand (Celebrity or RCI). To ensure the programs and initiatives are aligned with corporate strategy and Brand specific business objectives. Responsible for leading some enterprise-wide projects and initiatives. This work is accomplished through proper needs assessment and diagnosis, leadership, team development, coaching, design and implementation of process, performance and team interventions
Career snapshot:
- Partners and collaborates with Brand management and HR Consultants to align training and organizational development strategies both long term and short term with business objectives and strategies - ship and shore
- Conduct needs analysis of individual, team and leader development requests to clarify performance issues and provide targeted recommendations or interventions -ship and shore
- Creates and implements shipboard training and organization development strategies and programs including management and leadership development, succession management and career pathing, organization talent reviews (BOT), on-boarding and orientation, performance management, consultation and coaching on design/delivery of operational training
- Measures the effectiveness of training and organization development interventions through ROI and key metrics (ship and shore)
- Oversees and provides leadership to the Brand specific shipboard Training Development Managers
- Collaborates with other Brand Training Manager to ensure uniform training policies and programs exist understanding brand specific needs
- Regularly communicates with shipboard executive team (at times via field visits) and shoreside leadership to solicit feedback, gain agreement and add value to the training and organization development function
- In partnership with the HR Consultant, provide coaching to leaders on performance, individual and team development and career pathing.
- Provides thought leadership to leaders and HR utilizing organization development best practices
- Designs and executes HR processes and tools such as performance management systems, 360 degree feedback instruments and others
- Bachelors Degree (Masters preferred) in Industrial Psychology, HR or related field
- 8-10 years experience in leadership/organization development in a corporate environment - global training function preferred
- Proven experience in developing and implementing OD interventions, instructional design and advanced facilitation skills required
- Experience in leadership development and talent management
- Strong interpersonal skills and customer oriented focus a must
- Ability to travel 25%
