Global Macro Economist – Hedge Fund

The team are highly successful and are offering the opportunity for an experienced economist to work in an a highly successful team.

 

The fund primarily invest in Fixed income/FX and have a team of exceptional individuals with very strong academic and working history.

This fund are specialists at investing using global Macro econometric principles and have grown at an exceptional rate over the last couple of years.

 

All applicants should therefore have an solid academic record with an MSC/PHD in Economics from a leading school.

Buy side experience is desired but not essential however all applicants must have experience working as an economist within a Central Bank, leading investment bank or fund.

 

Your responsibilities will include:- 

 
Taking responsibility for global coverage in developed emerging markets

Generating research to provide trade idea generation across FI, FX commodities across G10 EM

Generating allocation recommendations from a thematic risk perspective

 
Within this role you will also have the opportunity to have involvement in investor relations by presenting the fund to prospective investors, providing portfolio updates and writing marketing material. 
 

This is an excellent opportunity for an economist looking to move into a hedge fund with a solid background and appreciation for global Macro markets.

Whilst your current market coverage doesn’t not have to be global you must show a desire to cover global markets.
