Global Market Risk Officer – VP/Dir recruitment
This is a very broad role which would suit someone who likes working in a diverse position. You will be the main interface towards local Market Risk Management a number of tasks. My client is looking for someone who is able to multi-task through a number of challenges whilst support a global market risk team.
Responsibilities include:
- Definition of Global and Granular limits for the given asset class to be approved by relevant Committees/Boards both at Holding Company and at Legal Entity level
- Leading the definition of proper countermeasures/mitigation actions in case of early warning/breach related to Global and Granular Market Limits by providing relevant portfolio risk profile information for the specific asset class;
- Defining the stress testing programme, analyzing the stress test outcomes and identifying the proper course of actions for the given asset class;
- Managing market risk related to trading activities for the specific asset class;
- Evaluating market risks linked to new products, providing Non Binding Opinions at the issuance of the product for the given asset class;
- Defining IPV and FVA methodologies to be implemented by the Legal Entities for the asset class;
- Reporting on market risk for Group Risk
Skills required:
- Significant experience in market risk management, preferably from another European house
- In-depth knowledge of regulatory obligations affecting the business units
- Team Management experience
- Ability to coordinate teams and focus on objectives
- Ability to negotiate on complex issues and to work under tight deadlines
- Strong risk mindset and decision making skills
- Open to cross cultural cooperation;
- Knowledge of another European language is a plus
