Purpose of the Role:
State Street's Global Markets group is looking to fill an AVP Client Onboarding/Service role. The candidate will drive compliance with the new onboarding regulatory requirements set out by the Dodd Frank rules for trading clients and counterparties.
Job Summary/Description:
- Be a central point of contact in London for all Dodd Frank related questions raised by the Business teams and Clients
- Play a key role in the State Street Global Markets Dodd Frank action plan
- Ensure Dodd Frank compliance with during the onboarding of clients and accounts to comply with the new rules
- Manage daily compliance functions to ensure compliance with Dodd Frank rules
- Manage onboarding processes and procedures to comply on an on-going basis with Dodd Frank requirements
- Maintain strong working relationships and liaise with internal and external counterparts including Clients, Sales, Trading, Credit, Legal and Operations
- Participate in the enhancement and maintain internal systems for workflow management and data storage
- Resolve and escalate issues proactively and in a timely fashion
- Develop strong working relationships with existing institutional clients
- Track and monitor potential onboarding issues and delays
- Respond to queries regarding the status of specific requests or new clients
Ideal Candidate Profile:
- Relevant experience in dealing with clients and counterparties
- Excellent communication skills in oral and written forms
- Strong team player and good professional interaction with other team members and teams
- Experience with managing collaborative processes and working across different departments, ensuring other parties keep to deadlines and provide results
- Strong ability to multi-task and work under pressure
- Strong problem solving skills and "can do" attitude
- Strong organizational skills
- Ability to identify and appropriately escalate issues and risks
- Excellent attention to detail
- Capital markets experience would be a plus
- Project management experience would be a strong plus
- BA/BS in Business or related studies required
- MBA, MS Finance, or CFA candidates would be a plus
