Global Markets eCommerce – CommBiz Markets Specialist
Institutional Banking Markets (IBM) is responsible for the provision of products and services to nearly 3000 major corporate, institutional and government clients. This is achieved through origination, structuring and execution of on and off balance sheet products that are enhanced through the efficient application of taxation, accounting, risk and capital management technologies. Institutional Banking Markets is the primary face to the market for all complex financing and advisory functions for the Bank's corporate and government clients.
CommBiz Markets is a module within CBA's award winning online transactional banking platform CommBiz. CommBiz Markets is market's key delivery channel for foreign exchange to BPB and to certain IB clients. CommBiz Markets has business objectives to grow in client numbers, revenue and FX turnover.
Role Purpose:
The purpose of this role is to become a national sales and product expert with the CommBiz Markets channel. With the solid expertise in CommBiz Markets, the incumbent will be able to visit clients and pitch to clients the benefits and value that the CommBiz Markets channel provides. This will include liaising with all business partners in BPB and IBM to promote the channel and provide knowledge to support transactional banking and FX pitches to clients.
The incumbent will be responsible for:
- Demonstrating channel value and training clients nationally (both internally and externally) with set KPIs for the number of client visits/training.
- Working with structured sales teams nationally to identify facilitate CommBiz Markets client on-boarding opportunities.
- Work nationationally on clients pitches along with GM/BPB specialists to provide expertise with payment solutions across the CommBiz/CommBiz Markets channel.
- Create and manage campaigns and marketing collateral/user guides to increase the awareness of the capabilities of CommBiz Markets both internally and externally.
Client/Internal Client/Business Partners:
- Provide superior service aligned with the client's [and partner's] needs and the organisation's business objectives.
- Develop a strong and trusted relationship with the targeted clients. Client contact ranges from treasury dealer to CFO.
- Look for opportunities to cross sell other GM or bank products utilising One Team Referral (OTR)
- Build strong working relationships with Sales, FMO, Payments, EIT and other important organisational Stakeholders.

Qualifications and Experience Required:
Essential
- Basic knowledge of Global Markets Foreign Exchange
- Solid knowledge of the Commbiz Markets product or industry comparative product
- Excellent interpersonal, collaboration and communication skills
- Excellent computer literacy
- Analytical with strong problem solving, numerical and verbal reasoning skills
- Adapts well and enjoys change
- Effective planning, organising and time management skills
- Strong performance orientation and work ethic together with high level of tenacity, resilience, initiative and personal effectiveness
- Superior judgement skills through the application of logic, common sense and acquired experience
Desirable
- AFMA FX Tier 1 accreditation
- Previous client facing experience especially with IB clients
