Department Overview

Global Markets at Nomura encompasses all major asset classes, including Equities, Credit, Rates, Foreign Exchange and Securitized Products. The division operations across all four regions – Japan, Asia, EMEA and Americas – and is a globally integrated franchise.

We have taken market-leading positions across the globe by leveraging the strength of our talent, client relationships and technology. By developing strong relationships with our client base through consistent interaction, independent advice and pre-eminent access to Asia, we have built a powerful global franchise across interest rates, currency and credit products. Our client services are far reaching across volume driven flow products and carefully tailored and structured solutions. 

Global Markets Strategy team

The Global Markets Strategy team occupies a pivotal position in the business. Working with top management, the team develops the longer term strategy of the business. This can include market entry strategy, product level strategy, acquisition screening and market and competitor analysis. The team partners with senior management across the business to determine the right strategy for the business in this rapidly changing market environment. The team is part of the overall Wholesale Strategy effort and partners closely with colleagues in Investment Banking and regional strategy groups.
