•Lead CGT’s technical services development of mechanical assessment of vibration related issues capability globally, on all CGT products.
•Develop and maintain current knowledge of mechanical design and analysis processes and applications for global product ranges.
•Provide specialist consultancy knowledge and guidance to all plant personnel with vibration related product issues for design and applications activity on customer power generation systems technical capability.
•Provide guidance and coaching for Customer Service Engineers and R, T D Engineers and customer vibration / mechanical design support.
•Support the development of mechanical vibration data, analysis and verification of product mechanical capability from product development through to end of life support for new product introduction.
•Support product validation activity globally of vibration compliant systems, using ALD techniques, assessing severity of mechanical loading to maximise product quality and capability, developing best in class vibration and mechanical application assessment capability.
•Travel globally, as and when needed to conduct the role and support Customer Service activity.
You should have expert knowledge of vibration mechanical theory to Bachelors Degree level, or HNC / HND level with relevant industrial experience. Also required is an expert knowledge of vibration data acquisition software, test theory and practices and expert practical experience on ALD vibration analysis techniques. You should also be able to demonstrate a desire to progress and work both independently and as part of a team.
