Global Mobility Operations Team Lead

Our client, a leading financial corporation, are looking for a Global Mobility Team Lead to join the HR Shared Service Team in Surrey. This new job will be reporting into the Head of HR Shared Service, and will act as part of the HR function. This exciting new job will be part of the Mobility Team that operates globally to manage the company's international assignments. This is a permanent job as a Global Mobility Team Lead, with a salary of up to £50,000 per annum.

The Global Mobility team is in charge of handling the business' global projects, internal career transfers and other global relocations; it orchestrates the global mobility initiatives and processes related to the business' global population of employees in 40+ locations, amounting over 700 moves annually. The Global Mobility team partners with the HR function as well as Finance and Staffing in order to ensure operational and strategic excellence across the board to provide support to the business' mobile employees. The function is also responsible for the management of current employee immigration in the UK, ensuring compliance with UK Border Agency requirements.

The Global Mobility Operations Team Lead role is critical to the effective delivery of Global Mobility services to the Bank. This role will provide supervision to the Global Mobility Operations team, manage escalations in the region, as well as, act as a subject matter expert for team processes. Provision for operational support to the team, including monitoring the key milestones in the assignment process, is expected. The role will involve frequent interaction with the Global Mobility Advisors, other Bank functions and external vendors.
This role is based in our Camberley office.

Responsibilities

Operational Delivery:
· Plan work scheduling and ensure team operate and adhere to agreed turnaround times, where defined
· Provide guidance and coaching to the team on a wide range of queries
· Manage operational processes and team to support lines of business through assignment decision-making evaluation with accurate cost estimates and cash flow analysis summaries within agreed timeframes:
 
1. Production of accurate contractual terms and conditions and letter generation
2. Accurately entering and maintaining all assignment data in the AiMS system in a timely way
3. Initiating third party vendor services (Relocation, Immigration, Tax)
4. Instructing payroll and benefits on specific handling and coordination points
5. Ownership for monitoring key process milestones, prompting action and implementing resulting outcomes (i.e. managing assignment starts/ends, coordinate repatriation-related events or tasks required, etc.)
6. Supporting and monitoring interactions from the global operations team mailbox and servicing requests per instructed SLAs and responding to general queries within agreed timeframes.
7. Supporting effective finance management processes to ensure that assignment costs are charged to the correct cost centre.
8. Managing end to end assignment process for GDCE population (and potentially moves for junior employees when the model is more embedded)

· Provision of Reporting and Analytics
· Operating processes in accordance with Bank standards
· Documentation of key processes and team’s training and development needs are met to ensure attainment of team objectives
· Actively manage risks and identification of issues, as well as, suggested improvements and mitigating steps that will reduce risk to the Bank
· Promote and foster a team ethos and positive flexible work attitude
· Drive a continuous agenda for improvement across all processes which can be tangibly measured

Requirements:
· Operational experience, preferably within a Global Mobility function
· Supervisory experience and accountability for team development
· Excellent written and verbal communication skills and the ability to communicate with people from different levels of the organisation and across businesses
· Exercise careful judgment in handling feedback and the ability to manage conflict
· Highly organised with strong attention to detail and a high level of accuracy
· Acts with a sense of urgency and drives issues through completion
· A numerate problem-solver with strong analytical capabilities
· Possesses a “can do” attitude and a client-service mentality
· A team player who thinks and acts across-functions
· Proactive approach with a strong emphasis on anticipating challenges and facilitating resolution, as well as, continuous improvement opportunities
· International experience; accustomed to working in a global team across time zones
· Proficient with Microsoft products (Outlook, Excel, Power Point) and tax estimate calculators
· Experience of immigration preferable
