BlackRock Global Operations Administration is committed to providing world-class client service by leveraging technology and by carefully and efficiently mitigating risk. The Global Operations Group provides operational support to BlackRock's portfolio management teams and clients; team members serve as liaisons between custodian banks, the dealer community and portfolio managers. The Global Administration Group provides administration services/oversight for retail and alternative funds/products and calculates performance measurement for institutional accounts. The administration group interacts with accounting/transfer agents for retail/alternative funds and trustees for institutional accounts. The administration is also responsible for monitoring portfolio compliance and works very closely with the legal department.

Role Description:We are looking for a modestly experienced professional (2+ years), enthusiastic individual who has a willingness to learn new skills and a desire to take on additional responsibilities. The successful candidate will possess commonsense, initiative, integrity, curiosity, and a sense of urgency.

Responsibilities:• Responsible for the collection and reconciliation of position and capital statements for all fund ofhedge funds investments.• Responsible for collecting hedge fund performance figures, and actively contributing to monthlyFund of Hedge Fund NAV calculations.• Valuation of direct security holdings, as well as other asset class investments.• Maintain BlackRock's relationships with its Fund of Hedge Fund administrators. This involvesfrequent communication regarding trade execution orders and monthly valuations.• Foster a relationship with back-office support professionals at hedge funds as well as theiradministrators. Involved is frequent communication regarding upcoming trading activity, timelyresolution of issues, and other fund-specific projects.• Communicate effectively and efficiently with the ARS fund Portfolio Managers, providing integraltrading, cash flow, and performance related information.• Frequent utilization of proprietary software in conjunction with other standard applications, suchas Microsoft Excel, to extrapolate data.• Interact with fund accounting and client servicing teams to address investor queries andinvestment-level valuation issues.• Proactively recommend and improve existing internal processes/controls in conjunction with IT.• Provide assistance with annual and semi-annual audit.• Special projects, including assisting with analytical modeling.

Skills and Qualifications:• Bachelors Degree in Accounting, Finance, or a business-related field is strongly preferred.• Solid analytical and problem solving skills.• Solid accounting skills.• Highly attentive to detail.• Excellent time management skills.• Solid work ethic.• Ability to work under pressure and meet deadlines.• Excellent communications skills.• Fluent in Microsoft Office products, especially Excel.
