Global Operations Processing Head – Global Custody recruitment

Global custody product suite cover custody solutions provided to clients through use of our own internal network as well as use of selected third party service providers. In terms of service offering, the role is responsible for ensuring seamless service delivery from global custody booking centers as well as internal Shared Service Centers (GSSCs).
This role will lead operations efforts to offer standard and customised solutions within global custody product suite, and will lead efforts to continually launch new product as well as design solutions sought by existing clients and new prospects. From an overall management point of view the role will work closely with the Product Management and Technology counterparts to map prevailing market opportunities/needs and continually upgrade our overall capabilities and solutions. From an operations point of the view, the role will lead efforts to design, implement, and maintain an operating model for global custody which would deliver best-in-class capacity and capability.
The role will be part of the Global Operations, and on an ongoing basis will involve close partnership with the Securities Services Local Operational Management, Local Product Management, Sales, Service Management, Solution Delivery, Global Product Management, and Technology.

Key Roles Responsibilities

- Analyse, document and maintain the current operating model for global custody, inclusive of core and centralised processes, policies, toolsets, and organisational structure.
- Identify operational risks, inefficiencies, capability gaps, best practices, and be the subject matter expert for the current operating model.
- Represent Securities Services Global and Local Securities Operations on tactical and strategic projects which impact the global custody product suite, including the current efforts around Securities Services Target Operating Model (STORM) project.
- Proactively identify key client requirements, validate current market practices/internal process and initiate action to improve client satisfaction and manage risk.
- Lay foundations for on-going enhancement of an operational risk management function in co-ordination with global operations risk manager, internal/external sub-custodians and internal shared service centers.
- Oversee the process on FX and Nostro management to ensure that the end to end Global Custody offering is robust.
- Roll out and monitor best-practice core operational processes, organisational structure, and common toolsets for the global custody offering across internal and external operations network and associated shared service center sites.
- Establish quality, capability, and risk management metrics and benchmarks for global custody offering , and monitor / report performance against these benchmarks on an ongoing basis
- Map and maintain oversight of ad-hoc and exceptional processes related to global custody operations.
- Monitor sub-custodian performance on an ongoing basis to ensure superior quality service.
- Proactively identify, promote, and implement enhancements which improve core operational efficiency, consistency, quality and operational risk profile.
- In conjunction with Service Management, Global Product Management Sales, analyse structured and ad-hoc client feedback to identify and address product capability and quality deficiencies; design and implement product centric enhancements which expand product capability and scope.
- Develop and implement operational capacity management and unit costing framework for global custody product stream.
- Lead the development, implementation, and continuous improvement of shared Global Custody Services utilities in internal Shared Service Centers (GSSCs). Maintain oversight on standard GSSC service contracts, process maps and training materials, and service level agreements (SLAs) for global custody processes.
