Our Client, a premier global investment bank encompasses institutional stockbroking, equity derivatives and equity finance activities. The company utilises its skills in research and risk management to develop equity-based financial solutions and services for clients globally. The opportunity for a Program Sales Trader to join their global Cash team in London is now available and will suit an individual wishing to develop a career in trading.
In this London based role, you will be responsible for international program trading and client service for our existing global client base in addition to regular input into team-oriented business development. You will liaise with staff worldwide to market the our global portfolio program trading business to existing clients, as well as being charged with the task of bringing new clients to the platform. This is an excellent opportunity to be involved in all aspects of the business from client interaction and sales through to business origination.
To be successful, you will:
*possess excellent academic qualifications ideally in a quantitative, financial or information technology discipline
*have gained Program Sales Trading experience, at an entry to mid-level, ideally in International or Emerging Equity Markets, although not essential
*bring a level of knowledge of Portfolio Trading Risk Management, technical and operational procedures as well as project management skills
*enjoy working in a team-oriented, global work environment and have excellent people skills with a strong client focus
*demonstrate high levels of drive and commercial acumen, coupled with a willingness to make quick decisions yet taking responsibility for outcomes.
Our client has stated they will look at Junior/Experienced Sales Traders who don’t necessarily have a client base but have good contacts and also experienced sales traders who have existing client relationships but above all the candidate must fit in with the desk. Personality counts.
Training will be given in how the company does its business in global portfolio program trading.
