Global Procurement Manager Job in Chicago 60606, Illinois Us

DTTL is seeking a talented Manager to join our Global Procurement team to execute all aspects of the contracting process from needs assessment to Request for Proposal (RFP) to Contract signing and to work with Sr Contracts Procurement Manager providing support for  DTTL and all member firms by negotiating and managing current global procurement agreements covering all users globally (approx 190,000 users). The ideal candidate will have a strong knowledge of terms of procurement agreements and superior skills in negotiation and must have familiarity with the different aspects of running a business, such as procurement, maintaining vendor relationships, invoicing, advertising etc.
 
 
Responsibilities
- Manage entire procurement contract process, including understanding business leaders' requirements and expectations, running an RFP process, negotiating with vendors, managing contracts through legal review, acquiring approvals.
- Design, evaluate and negotiate business terms in
current and future procurement agreements that meet the financial and administrative requirements unique to DTT and Deloitte member firms (includes various license other costs, payment terms, maintenance and support terms, etc.). 
- Finalize all details of business deal including the related terms in contracts and, working with DTTL legal, to approve contract language.  Provide one of the approvals required for contract to be signed. Obtain other approvals including business leader, Legal, Director Procurement, and Budget Holder.
- Write and update information Kits on new agreements for Deloitte member firms. Information Kits must be concise, and easily comprehended by someone who does not speak English as a first language in order to facilitate understanding of agreement terms and administrative details (such as product costs, payback methods, purchasing details, maintenance terms if applicable, global support terms and contacts, global reseller information, DTTL contacts, etc.). 

- Answer general contract questions by member firms on signed agreements.
- Forecast agreement costs.
 
- Manage vendor relationships, e.g.:
1. Devise reporting procedures with vendor and create annual reports specific to each agreement.
2. Provide formal and informal feedback to vendors on their programs and processes.
3. Update vendors on changes within DTT.
4. Liaison with vendor and member firms for problem or dispute resolution.
5. Continuously explore opportunity for further cooperation with the Vendor which might benefit DTTL and Deloitte member firms.
Education: Bachelor Degree required with supplemental coursework or equivalent experience in contract negotiation and basic principles of accounting. Law degree a plus. Candidate must have 5-8 years of relevant work experience in the areas of procurement and contracts.
- Excellent negotiation skills coupled with a strong business and economic acumen and preferably knowledge of the Global
Technology marketplace.

- Excellent analytical skills. Ability to analyze complex financial deals and contract terms, analyze internal data to determine cost savings
- Attention to detail.  Requires ability to understand and negotiate minute details and nuances of contract language.
- A high degree of sales skills are required to sell negotiation and deal vision to both Deloitte business leaders and the vendors.
- General working knowledge of procurement in one or more of the following areas:
o    Travel including airlines, rental cars and hotels
o    Office Furniture
o    Technology
- Aptitude for learning.  Must be able to quickly understand new trends and analyze how they will affect Deloitte member firms.
- Excellent time management and organizational skills.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills.  Express positions accurately and clearly in negotiations to vendors and their legal team.  Concisely
and accurately express complex, detailed information in a clear and simple manner that someone with moderate English skills can easily understand, both in writing and oral communications.
- Advanced MS Office skills.
