Position Overview The Sourcing Manager is an integral part of the Travel, Card Meetings (TCM) Procurement CoE focusing specifically on the Meeting Category in NA and other service categories provided by the key stakeholder group - SBS Managed Services. The Meeting category relates to all the logistical elements in planning and holding both internal external meetings (not content delivered during the meeting) and may include: Meeting Planning Agencies, Venues, Production, Food Beverage, Transportation. Responsibilities are as follows: * Category management and sourcing leadership of the services in the region either directly or indirectly through collaboration with the Global category lead and/or local sourcing professionals. * Collaborate with the Global lead to support the development and implementation of sourcing strategies. * Establish and lead cross-functional teams through the Sourcing Management Process and to provide strategy oversight for Local and Regional components of the category. * Identify and manage savings targets and other key metrics to established targets. * Collaborate closely with Shared Business Services, Key stakeholders and Global Procurement colleagues across all regions, to ensure delivery of complex category strategies and identify improvement opportunities. * Excellent subject matter expertise and be current in industry trends and best practices. * Category Strategy - Responsible for commercial support of the category in the region. In collaboration with Shared Business Services and Global, Regional and Local procurement professionals, will create and implement 3-5 year strategic sourcing strategies. * Global Category Team - Participate on Global teams, representing the NA region to develop and implement strategic source plans as well as to ensure alignment on key initiatives and priorities for the category. * Sourcing Management - Use the Sourcing Management Process (SMP) to manage assurance of supply, quality, service, cost, innovation and regulatory compliance within the category resulting in strategies which optimize value and ensure appropriate risk management. Understand the Sourcing Management Process and how to apply required tools in the creation and implementation of source plans. * Proactive Cost Management - Achieve cost control, cost reduction, and cost containment targets, and add value to area of expenditure through a strong Total Cost of Ownership (TCO) orientation and process management. * Market Knowledge and Insight - Use thorough market knowledge and data analysis to gain critical insights that drive the selection of Sourcing Strategies and continuous improvement activities. Actively participate in relevant industry conferences and events as appropriate. * Supplier Management - Responsible for building relationships and managing ongoing key supplier performance against business requirements using proven processes to drive the realization of the full value of the key relationships. * Stakeholder Management and Business Sponsorship - Ensure appropriate stakeholders and Business sponsors are identified and engaged in all activity to ensure solutions meet the true business need. Understand the strategic business requirements and priorities at a 1/3/5 year horizon. * Contract Negotiation and Management - Once strategy is approved, personally lead the sourcing activity for the region via SMP including RFX, negotiations and contracting to put in place the right supplier partners. Qualifications Required: * Bachelors Degree * Minimum of 5 years experience in working in Strategic Sourcing or related role. * Experience of the Corporate Meetings industry. * Proven success in managing above country/regional strategy development and sourcing. * Proven ability to collaborate with a wide variety of individuals, including senior management, stakeholders, team members, other departments and suppliers. * Proven ability to effectively prioritize and execute tasks in a dynamic environment.
