THE ROLE:----------
My client is a well regarded Asset Manager. Product roles with them are high profile and business critical. This role is about delivering products in a timely fashion and within a robust governance structure that protects the integrity of the firm as viewed by their regulators, competitors and clients.
High calibre individual with strong knowledge of fund administration and governance, ideally to include exposure to Exchange Traded Funds, sought by this leading asset management house.
To develop global and other specified product ranges by ensuring that successful product development.
Duties:
Product Leadership---
- To participate in the development of the range of long-only, alternative and hybrid products.
- To undertake comprehensive project assignments.
- Ensure the delivery of new products / product changes are on time
- Responsible for day to day product development tasks, working closely with the marketing, sales, legal and operations teams.
- Project management and participation in product development and management changes and other related projects as required
- Timely completion of product changes / development of new products
- Effective project management of product life cycle
- Effective cross business interactions with investment, legal, compliance and operations
Essential experience
- Experience in the asset management industry, in particular experience in working in the UCITS regulatory framework; the ideal candidate may have a background in any of product development, product management, legal, risk or compliance, Operations or Project Management
- Credibility and proven ability to engage with stakeholders across the business at all levels.
- Proven track record of managing projects within a large, highly complex, cross-functional environment
Essential skills
- Excellent written and verbal communication, and an ability to articulate complex ideas, concepts, and solutions at a level appropriate and intelligible to the recipient.
- High attention to detail.
- Good influencing and interpersonal skills; comfort in working with people at all levels across all functions.
- Ability to develop effective partnerships with key business partners, including investment desks, compliance, risk, operations, and internal and external legal counsel to support the product agenda.
- Ability to manage complexity and deliver solutions to a tight deadline.
