Main Function
- Basel Reporting
Main Duties
- Performance and review of regulatory reporting functions including:
- Take ownership of Basel regulatory reporting and submission to FSA and manage team preparing the relevant submissions.
- Preparation and review of daily risk weight assets reporting and daily monitoring of regulatory ratios against internal and regulatory limits.
- Prepare and review related MIS reports for dissemination to key stakeholders
- Take ownership of relevant reporting controls and processes to ensure reporting is free of material errors;
- Review monthly reconciliations of balances from various regulatory systems to books and records and ensure reconciliations are satisfactorily explained and resolved.
- Assist with ad hoc queries from management, head office, product control, treasury and other key stake holders
- Review and ensure the control environment supporting the overall reporting process is adequate with proper supporting documents and reconciliations in place.
- Participate in all business driven projects including implementation of new businesses or processes into BAU, reporting, BAU calculations and reporting, process improvements and efficiency driven initiatives, and system testing.
- Assist the assessment of capital implications on new business transactions and downstream reporting implications.
- Ad hoc review and analysis as required.
- Support functional re-location initiative from Singapore to India as needed.
Person Requirements
- Qualified accountant
- More than 5 years working experience. Investment Banking experience preferred.
- Regulatory Reporting experience (UK FSA Preferred).
- Willingness to travel
- Experience managing small to medium sized teams.
- Strong verbal and written communications skills
- Strong accounting and Investment Banking product knowledge
- Proactive and assertive in driving control improvement
- Clear understanding of impact of accounting transactions on financial statements and capital
- Able to prioritize and escalate breaches of policies and procedures as appropriate
- Diligent delivers against targets.
