Current Need The RIM Relationship Manager (RRM) is responsible for communicating, guiding, monitoring and assessing compliance with Global RIM policy and best practices for designated business units. In collaboration with the Business Unit Compliance Officer (BUCO) and/or the local BU RIM resource, the RRM works to create action plans for each department/site in his/her assigned business unit regarding the proper management and disposition of records and information (paper and electronic), both on-site and off-site, in accordance with established Global RIM policies and procedures. The RRM, in collaboration with the Global RIM Program Office, develops policies and work practices designed to safeguard Company records and information assets and assists in training local personnel in suitable control methods regarding proper recordkeeping and disposition. Position Description This position will act as the primary contact for the BUCO and the business unit records management coordinators, leads, and dedicated RIM resources in answering questions and providing front-line guidance on RIM policies. Examples may include proper procedures for establishing filing systems and local file plans, disposing of records, understanding retention schedule, etc. He/She will provide coordination and support to activities and processes involving the proper disposition of official business records at McKesson. This includes assisting in the creation of preventative action plans for each department/site in the BUCO's area of influence regarding the clean-up and management of records and information (paper and electronic) in inactive storage, both on-site and off-site. Specific duties will include: - Collaborate with the BUCO to develop post-audit remediation plans. - Develop localized procedures designed to safeguard Company records and information assets at Corporate/BU sites and locations. - Coach, mentor, and develop Corporate and BU RIM Leads and Coordinators in the implementing compliant records programs in areas such as: o Inactive Records o Physical Records Inventory o RIM Secure Destruction o Cleanup Days o Lifecycle Management - Train site personnel in suitable control methods regarding proper recordkeeping and disposition. - Coordinate and lead department-level or site-level records reviews and records clean-up activities. - Partner with RIM Coordinators and/or BU dedicated RIM resources to ensure the integrity and accuracy of box content and associated metadata, for both physical records, and electronic media being sent to off-site storage. - Coordinate annual department or site-level self-assessment exercises regarding RIM compliance. - Support Compliance Officers in performance metrics reporting. - Participate in reviews of Records Retention policies, standards procedures to maintain accuracy and integrity of the Global Records Management initiatives. - Promote RIM Program at Business Unit and facility level. Minimum Requirements The position requires a minimum 7 years relevant experience (e.g., records retention management, general finance management, office management, program management, project management, etc.) with progressively increasing responsibilities. Additional Knowledge Skills - Proven experience in hands on application of records management principles and practices (electronic and paper-based), particularly in the area of records retention and disposition. - Strong ability to maintain customer/client focus - Experience in monitoring and assessing compliance, especially in the area of records. - Experience at conducting legal and regulatory research regarding all applicable domestic and international laws affecting retention of information as records - Success in RIM program management for at least five years in a large corporate or institutional setting is also a plus - Experience in front-line vendor management - Ability to provide instructions/guidance and convey ideas in a manner that can be understood by all - Proven ability to communicate with internal and external stakeholders in a manner that builds, maintains and enhances a positive working relationship; - Proven ability to make recommendations and to problem solve in a manner that shows both strategic and tactical thinking; - Proven ability to positively influence others at all levels/functions of the organization. At least initially, this person will be a sole contributor where ability to influence others laterally and work collaboratively is at a premium; willing to engage in tactical implementation without support staff as well as plan and think strategically; - Proven ability to tolerate ambiguity and to remain flexible when the pressure is on; - Proven ability to reflect and maintain integrity; - Proven ability to work both individually and within a team environment, building strong relationships and maintaining rapport with departmental and facility level colleagues; - Proven ability to pay attention to the details; - Proven ability to work independently with appropriate supervision and direction; - Proven ability to multi-task while meeting various deadlines; - Diplomatic - Persuasive - Ability to influence those who do not report to them Education - An undergraduate degree from an accredited four year college is required. Preferred areas of study include but are not limited to: Archives and Records Management; Library Sciences; Business Administration, Finance; Project Management, Office Administration - A Juris Doctorate (JD) or other advanced degree is a plus. Certifications/Licensure Certified Records Manager (CRM) is a plus.
