Posted Position Title: Global Security Manager / Information Assurance Manager Career Level: Experienced Function Security Function Segment: Building Security Location: United States U.S. State, China or Canada Provinces: Ohio City: Cincinnati Postal Code: 45215-1988 Relocation Assistance Yes Role Summary/Purpose: The Global Security Manager / Information Assurance Manager will be responsible for information assurance program development, developing policies and procedures, and providing solutions to complex issues. You will coordinate and manage information assurance requirements as defined by Joint Air Force-Army-Navy JAFAN 6 / 3 and National Industrial Security Program Operating Manual (NISPOM) and DCID 6 / 3 Certification and Accreditation processes. In this role, you will: Essential Responsibilities - Develop and prepare security plans, standard operating procedures (SOPs) and security test and evaluation plans - Collaborate with internal security and IT staff to ensure continued compliance and secure operation of accredited information systems - Interface with program management and customers on security requirements guidance, implementation, required documentation and classification management - Provide systems security guidance, awareness and training and participate in customer security inspections and reviews - Maintain status reports and metrics on IT security and policy enforcement - Achieve Authority to Test (ATT) and Authority to Operate (ATO) status - Provide briefings and white papers on security recommendations, process improvements and lessons learned - Develop and maintain a formal IA Security program including user training and basic IA practices - Develop and maintain System Security Plans (SSPs) and coordinating any changes with Designated Accrediting Authority (DAA) - Conduct periodic reviews, risk assessments, system tests and vulnerability studies to ensure compliance with the SSP - Maintain configuration management (CM) for security relevant IS software, hardware and firmware - Perform IS security inspections, tests, system level audits and reviews of existing IS software and hardware to ensure compliance - Lead process for protection of IA and take corrective action measures when an IA incident or vulnerability has been discovered - Liaison with local, state and federal law enforcement and government regulators - Manage and mentor Information Assurance Officers (IAOs) - Be able to provide cross functional leadership to team members Qualifications/Requirements: - Bachelor's Degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, Engineering or technical discipline (OR a High School Diploma / GED with a minimum of 5 years of experience in Information Technology (IT) in a classified environment, or a minimum of 3 years of experience as an IAO). ELIGIBILITY REQUIREMENTS : - Ability and willingness to be the subject of a security investigation - Current TS / SCI security clearance required Additional Eligibility Qualifications GE will only employ those who are legally authorized to work in the United States for this opening.
