Based in central Denmark, the company has been a trustful supplier to the offshore / marine sector for more than 50 years

The company is part of a globally oriented concern with operations around the globe.

The Company is strengthening its foothold within the Maritime business area, but they are also strongly on their way into production of their own equipment in the maritime area as well as wind industry related products.

 

THE POSITION

 

For managing and further developing our technical service team, we are looking for a new commercial-oriented Service manager. A solution-oriented person with a solid technical background is our target.

 

The position is based in central Funen, Denmark. The new manager will be responsible for all activities within the new Service business area.

 

Increasing numbers of installation and service assignments is the key incentive for the company to build a service team for the future. The right person will play a central role managing this service team in a flat organization that regards it as a competitive advantage to solve challenges quickly and efficiently.

 

The service concept covers all products delivered to the costumers worldwide, and therefore, the position includes some travel activity.

 

The reference will be to the COO based in the headquarter outside Denmark.

 

Around 18 people are currently occupied in this business area. The target is, as a minimum, to double the number of employees in the business area within the next year.

 

Meeting activities

All external and internal meetings related to management of the Service Department.

 

 

THE CANDIDATE

 

The candidate is expected to have a strong international background within the service- or production area. It could be a former BTB Service Manager, a Technical Manager or similar. 5-7 years of experience is needed.

Work tasks:

 

• Overall management and responsibility for development of the global service network

• Developing the Service concept for new business and after sales service

• Developing internal procedures / systems

• Creating solution-oriented and positive customer relations

• Leading the establishment and development of spare part stocks

• Coordination of service- and installation assignments

• Making sure that the Service Dept. is the customer’s contact in connection with products supplied.

• Making sure that all kinds of assignments related to installation and service are handled by the Service department

• Complying with the vision and strategy formulated by the company

• Working out and following up on budget and estimates

• Hiring and dismissing employees in compliance with the company needs

• Educating employees in compliance with company requirements

• Responsible for and competent to safeguard the group’s interests in connection with customers and other subsidiaries

• Making sure that the day-to-day management is performed as to comply with the company requirements.

• Responsible for budgets and follow-up on all financial matters

• Making sure that all safety measures related to internal and external requirements are met

• Making sure that the need for personnel is continuously updated

• Making sure that employees are continuously trained as to comply with present requirements

• Making sure that the quality system and requirements are followed

• Making sure that all internal and external agreements made are observed

OTHER CONDITIONS

 

Theoretical background: Technical background is preferred - Engineer or commercial education with technical flair/experience. But it will be the practical background that counts.

Domicile: The candidate is expected to live in driving distance from the company.
