Description

The Global Settlements Specialist is responsible for ensuring executed trades are settled successfully with the custodians and brokers. Specific job a responsibility includes the management, communication, escalation and monitoring of fails, claims and overdrafts. The Global Settlements Specialist will work closely with Middle Office Operations, Trading, and Reconciliation teams to perform timely investigation and resolution of failing settlements.

Qualifications

The qualified candidate will possess a Bachelors degree or equivalent in Business or Finance and 1-3 years of Back Office Settlement experience at an Investment Management, Broker dealer, or Prime Broker organization. The incumbent must have working settlement experience with one or more of the following asset types: Fixed Income, Equities, FX, Futures, Options, and Swaps. The incumbent must also have knowledge of automated trade processing and demonstrate strong understanding of life cycle of trade. Additionally, the incumbent should have excellent verbal and written communication skills with keen attention to details and be able to utilize Excel, Word, MS Project, Visio, and Bloomberg, to analyze and present data.
