Global Strategic Trade Manager recruitment

Business Services provides the services that keep RBS running, including Technology Services, Group Operations and Corporate Services. We put money in the ATMs, keep the Bank's technology systems operating, maintain the branch network, protect our customers from fraud, process millions of pounds of payments across the world and provide call centre and online services. We're also developing the new mobile banking technology, working environments for colleagues and strategies to stay ahead of the competition that are shaping the Group's future.

Strategy and Architecture help the Bank make better, more informed decisions regarding what, where, why, how we operate and who with.  We do this through the provision of Strategy, Portfolio Management, Service Management and Architecture Services across the Group.

As Global Strategic Trade Manager, you'll act as a key facilitator between Trade Operations and Business Partners (such as Product, Origination and Risk) for business as usual (BAU), strategic and change related activity. This will involve shaping and driving the agenda and influencing and positioning key messages across the business front-to-back to ensure that the needs of the organisation and the customer are optimally met. You'll work to ensure consistency and standardisation of approach globally, across all regions of Trade Operations (UK, US, EMEA and Asia) and all products (guarantees, letters of credit, collections, financing and supply chain finance). Additionally, you'll be responsible for defining and agreeing strategic decisions within a commercial environment.

To be successful as Global Strategic Trade Operations Manager, you'll have the ability to build and maintain open and effective relationships at all levels of a complex matrix organisation and experience of managing a diverse senior stakeholder group cross divisionally. You may have a transaction banking, investment banking or consultancy background, but whichever background you come from you'll have experience in a role that has involved shaping and leading the deployment of change both strategically and operationally.

In return, we offer an excellent employee salary and 30% cash and benefit funding programme which can be tailored to suit your individual needs. In addition to financial benefits, we offer a wide selection of exclusive lifestyle offers, development and learning programmes, services and support designed to help you manage and balance your own work-life priorities.
