Department Summary:

The Fixed Income Division (FID) Global Product Control group is seeking to fill a Manager position
that requires a highly motivated individual with strong analytical, accounting, technology, people
and communication skills. The successful candidate will be involved in all aspects of the Income Statement, Balance Sheet, Regulatory Reporting and Financial Disclosures associated with Structured Investments. This role performs Consolidation Investment and Principal Investment accounting (equity method pick up/HLBV), as well as sophisticated financings. Regular sub ledger and general ledger journal calculations + postings are required to properly reflect Balance Sheet
and Income Statement results. This position requires applicant be proficient in interpreting and analyzing Financial Statements for reflection in Firm books and records as well as for model PnL discussions also the preparation of Financial Statement information for 3Rd Party consumption.

Primary Responsibilities:

?Back up of GSP reporting Analyst and Associate (see job descriptions)
?Critical self review of Models + 3rd party Financial Statements (FS) for appropriate journal creation + posting (sub ledger/ general ledger) and/or disclosure details (disclosures FIN 45, FAS 157+167) associated with Consolidated and non consolidated structured investments and Financings. Includes cash and non cash (tax credit) movements as well as month end journals (accruals, estimates, etc.)
?Update + maintain accurate files to support calculations/processes
?Work closely w/Product Controller team, Business Unit, Operations, Legal Entity Controllers, Tax Department + 3rd party providers
?Facilitation of GL close process (monthly); includes the creation of Trial Balances for GSP entities with cost center details; adherence to 3R's rules and processes
?Preparation + critical self review for monthly Books to Reported differences and monthly restatement of reporting system and related journals
?Review of Financial Information provided to third parties (MS investors in Joint Ventures)
?Support monthly reporting and QTRLY reporting - FED, SEC, Disclosures
?Perform ad-hoc analysis/projects as needed

Skills Required:
•Bachelors degree in Finance/Accounting: this position requires applicant be proficient in interpreting and analyzing Financial Statements for reflection in Firm books and records; review financial models. Consolidation and Principal Investment accounting are critical as well as Financial Statement preparation since information is sent to Third Parties (external).
