Global Synthetic Equity Trade Support Manager recruitment

The role is within the GSE (Global Synthetic Equity) SPG.

The SPG team offers a fast paced and challenging work environment. The role requires direct contact with various operations teams, BUC and sales/trading on a daily basis. The successful candidate will be an intergral team member managing a number of analysts, within the growing GSE team and providing assistance to the regional head of GSE SPG. The goal of the group is to provide the highest level of service to the desk and internal operations teams, as well as driving process improvement intiatives to support the growing demand of the business.

The candidate will be responsible for managing the team on a day to day basis, ensuring that:
• All trade bookings and validations raised by the desk are actioned appropriately in a timely basis;
• The team complete investigating and resolving all risk breaks between systems and any client issues that may arise;
• Developing training and personal development plans for the team, including cross training and succession planning;
• Regular one to one development meetings and appraisals are held with the team to ensure that objectives set are met;
• Regular meetings are held with key stakeholders to provide transparency on processes and issues raised.
• New Business initiatives are fully considered for all processing and control requirements
• Strategic, tactical and process excellence changes are fully supported by subject matter experts within the team.

The successful candidate will have:

• High level of attention to detail and accuracy in order to manage day to day requests

• Partnership skills to effectively build relationships with internal operations teams.
• Strong technical skills either in this product or other products.
• Good knowledge of Bloomberg
• Excellent Excel skills and knowledge to build macro's which will be required to drive process improvements in team
• Good knowledge of change tools like MS Visio, Project and well able to harness the tools of excel

Specific Tasks the Team owns include:
• Trade capture and validation
• Investigating and resolving breaks between systems
• Resolving client queries and issues escalated from Settlements, Confirmations, trading, sales or client
• Analyzing processes to increase efficiency and implement changes
• Addressing root cause of issues and amends, also serve as escalation point to resolve issues
• Special projects and assignments as required.
