Global Transaction Finance Manager

Full Job Description

The Transaction Support Manager role is key to the continued success of the Finance team and will primarily involve supporting the CFO and the Deputy CFO on a range of accounting policy issues, providing transaction support to the wider business and any other ad hoc analysis and advice required. This role will also work closely with the various teams within the Bank.
Working closely with the multiple Finance teams to provide expert input, review and challenge on accounting policy matters.
- Developing relationships and collaborating with contacts from across a wide range of Group Functions including: Group Chief Accountants (GCA), Group Tax, Transaction Support and Group Credit Risk (GCR).
- Becoming a key point of contact for Relationship Managers (Front Office) with regards to transaction support and Finance sign off on new deal structures.
- Assessing the impact of statutory and regulatory changes, particularly with respect to IFRS9 and IFRS 10, and ensure any statutory and regulatory outputs are fully compliant with Group Policy.
- Delivering a range of ad hoc analyses and presentations, as well as providing in depth information to support senior business, finance and any other relevant stakeholders.
- Supporting the Deputy CFO to ensure Finance remains at the forefront of new initiatives.

You will be a qualified ACCA, ACA or CIMA from a financial services background with strong technical knowledge and a commercial focus. Experience of multiple stakeholder management and ability to operate with credibility at Managing Director and board level, working with and challenging senior managers on a regular basis is expected, as is well developed analytical and interpretative skills.
