Position Description:
The candidate will report into the CFO for Investment Strategy and Client Solutions and will manage the CG CFO team. The candidate will be responsible for partnering with MSSB's Accounting group to ensure the accuracy and completeness of the books and records of the business. The candidate will also be responsible for Forecasting, Budgeting, Management Reporting, and external disclosures.
Skills Required:
• Monthly review of fee based revenues including accruals, deferrals and all other accounting processes
• Ownership of all daily, weekly, monthly, and quarterly Management Reporting processes as well as the continued development of these processes
• Monthly and Quarterly signoff on Sales Director compensation
• Ownership of Forecasting and Budgeting processes for both revenues and direct expenses
• Compilation of quarterly data and resulting transmittals to external vendors that provide industry-wide reporting
• Provide external disclosure on MSSB's Global Fee Based Asset Flows
• Active participant in the New Product Approval process
• Development of a tool to bill non-affiliated Mutual Fund families for distribution related revenues
• Partner with the business to drive cost savings and revenue enhancement opportunities
• Provide business with financial/consultative support and play key role in supporting business requests around financial modeling
Skills Desired:
Ideal candidate should have 10-15 years in a Finance/Accounting role at a Retail Broker Dealer. CPA preferred.
