GMD DSC Systems Engineer 3 Job in Huntsville 35824, Alabama US

 

This position reports to the NG GMD Weapon Systems Engineering, Integration and Test IPT Deputy Manager.  Works as part of the integrated Boeing, NG and subcontractor GMD DSC Systems Integration Laboratory (SIL) team.  This position will support the operation, maintainance and trouble shooting of the CNE, GFC, and CLE in the SIL.  Position requires knowledge of Network Administration and Certification.  The successful candidate will function as the System Administrator for loading software and software updates.  Requires knowledge of DoD 5220.22.m (NISPOM) and DoDI 8500.01 (IA Implementation). Must have experience with CISCO and Nexus networking, Regatta servers, Sun Solaris 8 and 10, and DOS, Windows (XP, Vista, 7) UNIX and LINUX operating systems. Requires experience working in a certified lab environment.

 

The selected candidate must be able to travel up to 25% of the time. 

Basic Qualifications:

 

*In depth knowledge of weapon system systems engineering, sensor and range interfaces, analysis, weapon system assessment and product support.

Working knowledge for operation, maintenance and troubleshooting of the GMD CLE, CNE, GFC

Experience working with vendors and vendor maintenance agreements.

*Working knowledge of AutoCAD, preferably AutoCAD 2012.

*Missile Defense or GMD specific knowledge

*Engineering or technical degree.

*Coordinating and interacting with peer and senior customer personnel

*8 years experience with Bachelors in Science; 4 Years with Masters; 3 Years with PhD.

*Must be able to travel

*DOD Secret security clearance

Preferred Qualifications:

 

*Total of 8 years GMD weapon system experience operating and maintaining the CLE, CNE, GFC.

*Understanding of the GMD GBI and IDT interaces to the ground systems equipment.

* Masters degree
