GMI SME BUSINESS ANALYST

Key Responsibilities:

Reporting to the GMI Team Leader, the successful candidate will be required to:

• Be the lead SME for GMI Exchange Traded Derivatives and some exposure to OTC Cleared.
• Able to independently lead and deliver multiple project s across varied aspects of the Futures business.
• Develop effective solutions to satisfy business requirements utilising AS400 technical experience. Both in own projects and providing guidance to other team members.
• Provide system matter expertise on the Sungard GMI vendor system.
• Manage stakeholders to MD level, providing updates/justification and guidance on in-flight and upcoming projects.
• Challenge existing viewpoints and guide project teams in both Operations and Technology towards optimal solutions.
• Provide second/third line support expertise and guidance to ETD Support teams across the globe.
• Provide SME and technical training to other members of the team.
• Support multiple streams of GMI testing and implementations
• Write functional technical specifications
• Code, test and release changes as per standard guidelines

Person Specification
Knowledge/Experience:

 Good understanding of Exchange Traded Derivative clearing and settlement lifecycles.
 Experience on EMIR Regulatory Space
 Good knowledge on Treasury and Funding flows
 Good knowledge on the Brokerage, Fees and Commisions
 Strong Sungard GMI expertise, ideally over several years.
 StrongRPG coding experience
 Excellent SQL skills
 Good AS400 operating knowledge
 Proven project delivery experience
 Strong client-facing experience
Skills:

• Strong analytical ability.
• Strong written and spoken communication skills.
• Credibility to take a lead role in delivering projects/tasks. Confidence to raise concerns/suggest improvements at all levels.
Qualifications:

Educated to degree or equivalent level, preferably in Computing / Information Systems. Exceptional candidates who do not meet this criterion may be considered for the role provided they have the necessary skills and experience.
