Goldensource Application Support Product Manager recruitment

Key Responsibilities
The successful candidate will work within the Application Support team, reporting the to the head of application, they will be responsible for ensuring the continued support of the GoldenSource application, resolving issues around business processing and data integrity, working closely with a number different business areas.

Specifically, we are looking for a specialist in supporting the Data Management Team within MG Investments, who utilise the GoldenSource Securities and Benchmarks applications and the Front Office Equities and Fixed Income Teams, who principally use LatentZero Capstone.
Client relationship management with Front Office and Back Office users.

Analysis of problems and issues relating to business processes, system processing, transactional and static data.
Issue/problem management including defining actions for other areas in IS and Business Change, as well as coordinating support from an external infrastructure Services teams.
Jointly with the Data Management Team they will be responsible for the management of the application vendors and industry data providers, this will involve review patches and enhancements supplied from the vendors and defining a business as usual delivery model, to ensure that the product is kept within agreed support versions.

Escalation to senior IS managers and business users and managers.

Skills Knowledge
Essential
Strong product knowledge of GoldenSource version 8 or above.

Knowledge of GoldenSource's own workflow tool.

Awareness of the GoldenSource connectors and publishing processes, who to manage to deploy GoldenSource supplied changes.

Understanding of Instrument term and conditions, investment data, market reference data and benchmark data.

Strong SQL skills

Comfortable with UNIX/Linux operating systems and a Shell scripting language.

Experience of relational database systems including Oracle 11g.

Experience to support complex systems on a number of different platforms.

Enthusiasm to learn new technologies, systems and applications.

Willingness to act as an out-of-hours escalation point for business critical systems and overnight batch processes.

Must have very strong problem analysis and investigation skills and able to find creative sustainable solution to system issues and user problems.

Good interpersonal skills are key; the candidate must be able to work well with other members of the team. Communicate clearly and concisely and deal diplomatically with users.

Experienced in issue/problem management - on both technical and user/process basis.

Experience of business and process analysis

Ability to work reliably without close supervision and used to working in a structured environment with clearly defined procedures and controls.

Desirable:

Knowledge of Weblogic
